Overview: Catan Fashions a northeast Ohio based retailer of bridal gowns and special occasion dresses looking to grow their brand awareness and increase their customers online and in-store.

Goal: Catan Fashions wanted to increase their geographic customer base by providing a wedding resource site integrated with a product catalog. The client also wanted to pay for their site upgrade with tactful advertising throughout the site.

Solution: Catan Fashions realized their goals with Chad Allan Consulting’s implementation of the following elements:

Site Re-Design and Upgraded Content Management System: Catan’s desire to expand their geographic reach was first addressed with a re-design of the site. The talented designer at Catan Fashions implemented a look flush with excitement and information. Chad Allan Consulting then took this new look and integrated it onto an elaborate but easy-to-use content management system (CMS). Catan’s CMS included a full product catalog and ecommerce, as well as self-managed articles, resources and media. Most menus can easily be altered and will dynamically update with the addition of new articles or categories.

Revenue and Lead Generators: Catan Fashions saw the addition of advertising avenues throughout the site as a valuable way to keep the site fresh and current, as well as pay for the site and related marketing efforts. Advertising avenues on the site include multiple tactfully placed banner ad positions and a resources section. Catan’s provides impressions and click-through yield data to their clients, and also has a lead data option. Chad Allan Consulting’s development of a lead generation tool provides advertisers at Catan’s with an option for lead data.

Automation: A revenue generator is even more valuable when its results-delivery processes are automated. Chad Allan Consulting developed auto-delivery functions for banner advertising and lead data. All information is delivered at a pre-determined frequency to pre-determined advertisers. The site administrator receives a copy of these emails to oversee the process with minimal efforts expended.

Web 2.0 Enhancements: Catan Fashion’s re-design and upgrade expanded the amount of content and available information in the site. To accommodate this heightened user experience, several Web 2.0 features were added to the site to allow for higher interactivity. Some of the many innovative features added include the use of AJAX technology, product review section, and an interactive discussion board.


Results: Catan Fashions’ new site, to be released in the next week,  is sure to yield significant results.
